As a graduate of two Kutztown University Canine Programs, a member of APDT, and an AKC-CGC Evaluator, Lori loves to learn everything she can about dog behavior and training. You can read her full bio here.
Before working with dogs, Kathryn worked with dolphins and sea lions! She attended UVA majoring in psychology, and plans to return to marine mammal training someday. She loves spending time with her Aussies Eelan and Bandit, and traveling. She's a skilled photographer and is working on starting a photography side business.
Our CTO (Chief Toy Officer) Stoli can often be found in the boutique showing off his favorite toys. Toys may always be Stoli's pick, but we offer a wide variety of products! From harnesses and training tools to food, supplements and hygiene supplies, our staff can help steer you in the right direction.
From hiking Mount Katahdin to powering through Tough Mudders, Leigh is always conquering new challenges. She met her best friend, Cadi, as a foster at Cold Nose Lodge.
Emily, adopted one of our foster beagles, Bugle. Bugle loves coming to daycare and her name goes perfectly with Emily's love of music.
Kelly absolutely loves German Shorthair Pointers! She loves spending time with her two, Morgan and Gema, and volunteers with GSP Rescue PA. She is a Senior Dog Handler at the Lodge as well as a Shift Lead.
Rachel joined our team in July of 2013. In addition to being our Customer Service Coordinator, she also remains a dog handler. Rachel eventually wants to work with special needs children. She loves participating in Relay for Life as well as Autism & Buddy Walks.
Through dog training, Janelle's aims to help better the partnership between a dog and owner so that they can have the best possible life together.
Liana graduated from Ursinus College with a B.A. in Media and Communication Studies. She has two big dogs, Opie and Otis, two cats, and adopted a former CNL foster, Peaches. She loves the balance of working in marketing while still being able to spend some of her time as a dog handler.
Torie is especially fond of Pit Bulls and Labs. She has a Pit of her own along with two ferrets. She hopes to become a Veterinary Technician.
Kirstin graduated from Wilson College with a BS in Veterinary Medical Technology and is excited to have been accepted to attend Veterinary School - in London! From horse shows to spending time with her cattle dogs, Prada, Calvin Klein, and Armani, Kirstin loves spending her time with animals.
Jennifer is a livestock farmer, a former Vet Tech, as well as a great wife and mother. She has 3 horses, 4 minicows, 4 dogs, and a cat! Outside of work she enjoys gardening, learning about dog behavior, and raising her little cattle.
Emily started college a year early and is working on her Business Management degree at Kutztown University. She loves seeing the variety of breeds and mixes that come to CNL and learning about all of them.
Cami is so excited when she sees a doodle walk through the door and recently, she finally added one to her family! She is very creative and enjoys doing glass work/mosaics, and making art out of pallet wood.
Sarah adores Bulldogs and has two of her own, Dexter and Bella.
Alyssa has a B.S. Biobehavioral Health from Penn State. She has a weakness for Black Labs and Westies, and loves playing with bubbles with the dogs.
Maya attends Gettysburg University. She plays the flute and is double majoring in Music Performance and Chinese Studies. Maya has a rescued husky/collie mix named Lobo.
Whether it be activities with her boys, gardening, crafting, or fostering a new dog for Brindle Buddies & Friends, Emily is always up to something new.
Krista loves getting to meet and interact with all of the different dogs that visit the Lodge, big and small. However, she is especially excited when she sees a German Shepherd or Newfie walk through the door. At home, she has two big dogs of her own, Tanga, a Shepherd/Lab mix and Aza, a German Shepherd.
Alyssa's heart was stolen by not one, but two CNL fosters during the time she's been with us! Luna and Tyson have both found a wonderful home with Alyssa through Brindle Buddies & Friends. Aside from spending time with her pups, Alyssa loves to travel. We know her future will be full of adventure.
Molly loves learning about all of the different dog breeds she encounters at the Lodge. She is especially fond of Rottweilers, Dobermans, and Shepherds. Her favorite part of the job is working in the large dog room. Molly plans to attend LCCC and aspires to be a veterinarian.
Hannah has been dancing her entire life and loves sharing her passion as a dance instructor. On the weekends, she can be often be found unwinding at a campground.
When Matt isn't at the Lodge, you can often find him working as a lifeguard at the Alburtis pool. He loves spending time with his beagle mix, Baxter. He will be attending college in the fall, majoring in criminal justice.
When a bully breed or especially huge dog comes to the Lodge, they are sure to steal Tanya's heart. Along with her husband and daughter, she shares her home with two rescues- Rufus, an American Bulldog, and Roxy, an American Bully. She loves spending her free time creating - whether that be through drawing and painting, home decor, or anything in between! She also loves spending time outside, of course, especially with animals.
Jenna attends Unity College where she is majoring in Captive Wildlife Care. Someday, she'd love to work at an exotic rehabilitation center. Her favorite part of working at CNL is seeing the dogs cheerfully reunite with their families after staying with us. She enjoys adventuring, whether that be hiking or hopping on a plane, and loves spending time with her beagle, Koda
There is a special place in Chris' heart for Golden Retrievers. Along with his Golden, Charlie (pictured), Chris has a Guinea Pig named Oreo. During summers you can also find him lifeguarding at Lower Macungie Pool. Someday Chris would like to own his own business and is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America. He will attend Bloomsburg in the fall, majoring in Finance.
Megan is attending LCCC for Early Childhood Education and hopes to work with special needs children. She shares her home with a German Shepherd, Coco, two cats, Murphy and Misty, and is in the process of adding another special dog to her home. Clue: she loves working in the small dog room and especially spending time with our foster dogs.
Courtney put it simply - what she loves about working at the Lodge truly is just being able to spend time bonding with the dogs. She has a rescued greyhound named Marco and will always have a soft spot for greyhounds, bullies, and boxers.
When she's not working at Cold Nose Lodge, you can find Katt, reading, spending time with her family, and dreaming about opening her own animal shelter. Looking beyond the breed is important to Katt and a dog that knows how to play, but is also down to cuddle is sure to steal Katt's heart.
